SCOTTIE WILLIAMS -- Downers Grove South |
||||||||||||||
An All-State football
standout in high school, Williams would go on to become one of the most
productive football players in Division III history. Named to the 2008
All-State team with the Mustangs, Scottie went on to play runningback at
Elmhurst College where he was a four-time all-conference selection.
Williams broke the Bluejays single-season rushing record three times; helped
Elmhurst College reach the Division III playoffs for the first time in
school history; and set records for career rushing (5,023), rushing
touchdowns (50), and points scored (332). Scottie was the recipient of
the Gagliardi Trophy in 2012, which is awarded annually to the nation's best
Division III football player. Williams was inducted into both the
Downers Grove South Athletic Hall of Fame and the Elmhurst College Hall of
Fame in 2019. |
