FLOZELL ADAMS -- Proviso West

A 1992 All-American offensive tackle in high school, Adams was named to the NBC Sports Chicago All-Time High School Football Team.  While playing at Michigan State University from 1994-1997, Flozell earned the nickname "The Hotel" due to his massive size (6'7", 335-pounds), and was selected as the 1997 Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year.  Adams was chosen in the second round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.  Adams would play the next twelve years in Dallas, earning Pro Bowl honors five times (2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008).  In 2010, Flozell finished his professional career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and ended up starting 194 games in his 198 game career.  In 2002 Adams was part of the first ever unit that started five African-American offensive linemen in an NFL game.
