DEE BROWN -- Proviso East |

Brown finished his high
school career as Proviso East's all-time career leader in scoring, assists
and steals en route to being named a McDonald's All-American, Illinois' Mr.
Basketball and the Gatorade Player of the Year in 2002. Dee
established the all-time state high school record for career steals with
499. At the University of Illinois, Brown led the Fighting Illini to
the National Championship Game in 2005, was the Sporting News Player of the
Year and the Big Ten Player of the Year. In 2006 Brown won the Bob
Cousy Award, annually given to the nation's top college point guard.
Dee was selected by the Utah Jazz in the 2006 NBA Draft, and played with
Utah, the Washington Wizards and the Phoenix Suns. |
