ANDREA FILIPEK -- Morton |
||||||||||||||
One of the most prolific
scorers and three-point shooters in school history, Filipek led the Mustangs
to back-to-back regional championships in 1996 and 1997, as Morton compiled
a two-year 46-11 win-loss mark. Andrea earned All-Area honors three
times and was a member of the 1997 All-State Team. Filipek set the school record for
single game points scored both at her high school and college. In the
1997 sectional semi-final, Andrea netted 39 for the Mustangs, who would be
later ousted by Mother McAuley in the sectional final. In 1999, at the
University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, Filipek tallied 38 points for the
Panthers -- a mark that would remain as the school's best single-game
performance for the next eight seasons. |
