DAVE VOHASKA -- Riverside-Brookfield |
||||||||||||||
A two-time wrestling state
champion, Vohaska was named to the High School All-American Team. In
1981 as a sophomore, Dave compiled a perfect 36-0 record at the 167 pound
weight class, en route to his first individual state title. Moving up
to the 185-pound weight class as a junior, Vohaska lost in the state
semifinals, but would return atop the victory stand the following year.
Dave won the 1993 state title, once again at 167 pounds, with a perfect 39-0
record. Vohaska posted a 108-4 win-loss record over his last three
years of high school. Vohaska was the only Illinois representative
selected by Wrestling USA to its 1993 High School All-American Team. |
