MATT ROTH -- Willowbrook |

A high school All-American
football player, Roth won the 2001 state heavyweight wrestling title with a
perfect 31-0 record. Matt played linebacker and fullback for the
Warriors and led his team to back-to-back state playoff appearances.
Roth played football at the University of Iowa, where he was a two-time
All-Big Ten First Team selection. Matt was picked by the Miami
Dolphins in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft. Roth played seven
years in the NFL with Miami, the Cleveland Browns and the Jacksonville
Jaguars from 2005-2011 as a defensive lineman. In 96 professional
games, Matt had 295 tackles, 23-1/2 sacks and forced six fumbles. Roth
was chosen to the NBC Sports Chicago All-Time High School Football Team in
2012. |
