DONNIE BOYCE -- Proviso East

Boyce led the Pirates to a state basketball championship in 1991 with a 32-1 record.  Donnie played collegiately at the University of Colorado, and was the school's all-time leading scorer, a record he would hold for the next 13 years.  Boyce earned first team All Big Eight Conference honors in both 1994 and 1995.  Boyce was selected in the second round of the 1995 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks.  Donnie played two years with the Hawks, and the next nine years overseas, in the CBA and USBL.  Boyce returned to his alma mater as head basketball coach during the 2011-2012 season, and guided the Pirates to a second place finish in the state tournament, and another 32-1 record.
