REGGIE WRIGHT -- Oklahoma State |

A four-time regional
champion, and four-time state meet qualifier, Wright won two individual
state titles with the Pirates. Reggie was the 1995 IHSA wrestling
champion at 135 pounds, completing a perfect 44-0 season; and won the 1996
state title at 140 pounds, once again finishing with a undefeated record
(40-0). Wright was named as the Illinois Wrestling Coaches and
Officials Association Wrestler of the Year for 1995. Reggie had 160
varsity victories in high school, and only eight defeats. Wright would
wrestle at Oklahoma State where he was a three-time Big 12 champion,
three-time NCAA qualifier, and a two-time Division I All-American.
Wright had 106 match victories with the Cowboys, and placed fourth in both
the 1999 and 2000 NCAA championships. |
