BRIGITTE BUITRON -- Downers Grove North
 

A six-time West Suburban Conference champion in track & field and cross country, Buitron won the Silver Division 1600 meter and 3200 meter runs in both 1993 and 1994, and was conference cross-country champion in 1992 and 1994.  Brigette was a five-time IHSA sectional champ -- winning cross-country titles in 1992 and 1994; and the 3200 meter sectional championship three straight years from 1992-1994.  Buitron was a state meet medalist in 1600 meter and 3200 meter runs in 1993, and the 4x800 meter relay in 1996.  Brigette was all-state all four years in cross-country from 1993 to 1996.  Buitron was a college All-American in the 3,000 meter run in 1998 and was the Mid-American Conference Champion at Western Illinois University in the 5,000 meters in 2001.
