RALPH FAUCHER -- WTAQ Radio |
||||||||||||||
A radio broadcaster and
sports director at WTAQ Radio, Faucher broadcast West Suburban Conference
basketball and football for more than 35 years. His recognizable voice
could be heard by not only those who could not attend the game, but even by
fans that would bring transistor radios to the contests. Ralph was a
constant promoter of high school athletics both before and after his stint
working with Harry Caray, broadcasting Chicago White Sox baseball games in
the early 1970's. Faucher was inducted into the Illinois Basketball
Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1977. |
