JIM BROWN -- Oak Park-River Forest |
||||||||||||||
Brown
served as the Huskies Athletic Director from 1981 through 1992, and his
organizational efforts as an athletic administrator led to the present-day
look of today's West Suburban Conference. Jim coached for more than twenty
years at OPRF, fielding teams in football, wrestling and golf. Brown
was very instrumental in directing the transition of the Des Plaines Valley
League into the West Suburban Conference, as the two-group merger resulted
into the Gold and Silver Divisions of the WSC in 1986. Brown was
inducted into the Oak Park-River Forest Coaches Hall of Fame in 1991, and
the Illinois Athletic Directors Association Hall of Fame in 2005. |
