JIM MIZENER -- Downers Grove South |
||||||||||||||
Known as "The Voice of the
Mustangs", Mizener was the public address announcer for multiple sports at
Downers Grove South and North High Schools for more than 40 years.
Jim's easily recognizable voice was a fixture at contests in basketball,
football, volleyball, track and soccer, in addition to other sports, for
generations in the Downers Grove community. Mizener was instrumental
in founding the Downers Grove South Athletic Hall of
Fame, and was inducted into that honor in 2005. Mizener was also
inducted into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame as a
Friend of Basketball in 2012. |
