PETE VENTRELLI -- Downers Grove North

The head football coach at Downers Grove North for 15 years, Ventrelli won two West Suburban Conference titles and made the IHSA playoffs nine times.  Pete won WSC Silver championships in 1990 and 2000.  The Trojans made it to the 1990 Illinois High School Association state championship game, but finished in second place, losing to Thornton 31-21 in the title tilt.  Ventrelli made state playoff appearances from 1989-1992 and from 1997-2001.  Ventrelli, who compiled a 133-62 win-loss record at the school, was inducted into the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2001.
