MICHAEL WIGGINS -- Downers Grove South & Hinsdale Central

A four-time state finalist as boys soccer coach, Wiggins won the 2014 Illinois High School Association state championship.  Michael's teams have captured 12 West Suburban Conference titles and 19 IHSA Regional Championships.  Wiggins started his coaching career at Downers Grove South, winning West Suburban Conference titles in 1996, 2000 and 2001.  Wiggins had a 97-67-27 record in eight years at South, and was a state finalist in 1996 and 1997.  At Hinsdale Central, Wiggins won West Suburban Conference championships in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2021.  To go with his state championship, Wiggins' 2007 team finished fourth at the IHSA state finals.  Through the 2022 season, Wiggins has a record of 305-128-42 in 21 years as Red Devils head coach.  Wiggins 402 victories currently ranks him 11th all-time in state history.  Wiggins is a two-time Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association Coach of the Year (2004 & 2015); and was named as the Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association Soccer Person of the Year in 2012.
