The golf coach of the
Cardinals during the school's entire tenure in the West Suburban Conference
(1951-1966), Larsen won six WSC team titles over a nine-year period.
Curtis won WSC titles in 1951, 1952, 1955, 1956, 1958 and 1959. Larsen
also coached eight individual WSC golf champions. Larsen's 1956 squad
captured the Illinois High School Association golf state team title. A
standout football player for the Huskies during the 1930's, Larsen was
inducted into the Northern Illinois University Athletic Hall of Fame in
1983. |
