BLAISE BLASKO -- Glenbard West

Serving the Hilltoppers for five decades, Blasko was the school's boys gymnastics coach and Athletic Director.  Blaise was the head gymnastics coach from 1968 through 1989, where his teams won five Illinois High School Association District championships.  Blasko's 1981-82 squad qualified for the state finals as a team.  In 1988 Blaise became the fourth Athletic Director in school history, remaining in that position until his retirement in 2001.  Blakso continued in  the sport of gymnastics as one of the state's top judges, working at nearly 25 IHSA  state finals.  Blasko served as President of the Illinois High School Gymnastics Coaches Association, and was inducted into that group's Hall of Fame in 1998.
