JACK GREGG -- Leyden |

Since his junior year in
high school in 1952, Gregg has kept the numbers in check at Leyden High
School, without fail, for over 70 years. Whether it was being the
sports editor of the high school newspaper, working as a sideline
statistician for football games, or occupying the official scorer's seat at
a basketball contest, Gregg has been a familiar face on game day for anyone
who has ever attended the Franklin Park campus. John has worked somewhere
around 1,500 games over the past eight decades. Gregg was inducted
into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame as a Friend of
Basketball in 1976. |
