BRIAN KOPECKY -- Lyons Township

An assistant coach at Lyons Township in football, basketball and track for 41 years, Kopecky was also the school's head golf coach 14 years.  Brian could easily be spotted in various athletic venues during every season wearing the blue and gold.  Kopecky coached football from 1977 through 2009, and coached track and field from 1978 to 2010.  As head golf coach, Kopecky won nine regional championship, and placed second at the Illinois High School Association state meet in 2012, and finished third at the 2013 state finals.
