KEN SCHREINER -- Hinsdale Central
 

The head football coach and Athletic Director for the Red Devils, Schreiner won five West Suburban Conference gridiron championships.  Ken's teams qualified for the IHSA playoffs five times, winning WSC Silver Division titles in 1994, 1995, 1999, 2001 and 2002.  Schreiner coached from 1992 through 2002, with his final team finishing with the most wins in school history; compiling a 12-1 record; and having their only loss of the season at the 2002 Class 8A state semifinals, when eventual state champ Lockport scored to win the game with three seconds remaining.  Schreiner also served as Athletic Director at Hinsdale Central from 1993 to 2003.  Schreiner was inducted into the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2003.
