DAVE SMITH -- Hinsdale South

As Athletic Director and head football coach, Smith was very instrumental on and off the field during the decades of the 1980's and 1990's.  As coach, Dave won two West Suburban Conference Gold Division titles in 1987 and 1990, and is the all-time winningest gridiron coach in school history.  As Athletic Director, Smith was vital in engineering the merger between the WSC and the Des Plaines Valley League, co-chairing that committee in 1985-1986.  Smith was inducted into the Hinsdale South Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019.
