DARREN OREL -- Downers Grove South

The all-time winningest baseball coach in school history, Orel has won eight West Suburban Conference titles and six IHSA regional championships.  Darren's 2014 and 2015 teams won the WSC Gold Division with perfect 18-0 records -- the only teams to ever do so in the Gold Division.  Orel has compiled a 383-140 win-loss record at Downers Grove South over the past 15 seasons.  Orel has had nine seasons where the Mustangs won 25 or more games.  Orel won West Suburban Conference titles in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2021 and 2023.
